Teaching the children

We went to a nearby village today and met with children and teens. Here I am helping hold up the flannel with another lady while Courtney teaches the story about the 3 Hebrew children thrown into the fiery furnace. The children were attentive and most behaved well. They really loved the treats and gifts we gave them. The snack was warm sweet tea and a piece of bread similar to our roll. Here you can see them eating the bread.

Here's a picture of the school. I will never complain again about what I do not have. Most of the chairs the children sat in, did not have backs. There was hardly anything in the rooms. The blackboard was in bad shape, and the decorations on the walls were minimal. Such poverty.

Milk can be bought in a bag here as well as a carton. Here's a bag of milk.
