This walkway goes to the little apartment they've rented for us 3 ladies. It has a little kitchen, 2 baths and beds upstairs and down. This is so much better than a hotel. We just love it. I've already been out to lunch and to a local grocery store.
This is what the pastor and youth pastor picked me up in at the airport. The youth pastor is Julia, the young girl on the right. She will be our interpreter. My friend from my 2 past China trips, Gwen Reed, is in the blue. She is from SC and is a sped teacher.
This is in Newark. They are cleaning the window to the plane I would get on. We loaded on time, then they shut down the airport. After waiting an hour and half on the place, we were able to leave. When we landed in Munich, the pilot told us that only 3 planes left before they closed the airport for us. We were in that small window of time. I didn't dream I would ever make my Munich connection as I only had an hour and half layover. I broke and went to the front of the security line and ran to my plane on the people mover and was the last through the gate. My luggage didn't make it, but should be here tomorrow. Please pray with me about that. The song, "He's An On-time God" has new meaning for me. None of the rest in our group made it.
This is out of order. I'm having trouble manuvering around on this blog, but I hope you can piece it together and see a little of what I am doing. It is beautiful here, but the poverty is so evident. Their pastor that we will work with is a very humble man.
Last night when I was on the plane and it all looked hopeless as for as getting here in a timely manner, I just put that ipod on and started praising and worshiping. When things get hopeless, then it's time to praise. Coming on these trips will really stretch you, but it is really an adventure. I was not traveling alone. I was always at peace and knew the Lord was with me.
I'd appreciate a note, if just a hello. Please keep me in your prayers daily.
(When I did a spell check, nearly all the words came up as misspelled. I guess it has to do with the different language here?)
Until next time.
